No. ReSafe never inspects your phone, your files or the apps on it. iOS does not allow it, and we do not ask for it. ReSafe works on the channels a scam arrives through: the mail in a Gmail inbox you connect, your text messages, the links you tap, and the email addresses and phone numbers you ask us to watch.
Inbox scanning works by connecting your Google account, with your permission. ReSafe reads your Gmail only to flag phishing, and never sends, deletes or moves your mail. Connecting a mailbox is optional, and you can disconnect at any time from ReSafe or from your Google Account.
How ReSafe uses your Google accountMail is checked and then discarded — message bodies are never stored — and what remains is the result: the sender, a short extract of the subject and the verdict.
